created via the devoré technique: a chemical paste is printed onto velvet silk-viscose to “burn away” the viscose pile in stripes, leaving semi-sheer silk crepe stripes alternating with opaque velvet stripes resulting in a distinctive shadowy, tone-on-tone striped texture that almost looks tie-dyed or marbled in places.
